Ten Months Later

In a bereft room
forgetting the dead for a while
Music arrives on the radio
music he loved
His never-again enjoyment
I used to love it too
How can I enjoy it now?
Cruelty garottes
heart-lifting sound. [End Page 22]

Diez meses más tarde

En el desolado cuarto
olvidando a los muertos por un instante
La radio trae consigo música
música que a él le encantaba
Un placer que no volvería a gozar
También a mí me encantaba
¿Cómo puedo continuar disfrutándola?
Garrotazos crueles
sonido que eleva el corazón.
