Una danza
(Casi una poética)

Entrad.
Es pronto aún para el recuerdo.
Nos aguardan gestos y epitafios
entre unas cuerdas sin sonido.

Entrad.
La tarde está cercada
y convocada la niebla.
Templemos los instrumentos,
sanemos aquella herida
fosilizada en los retratos.

Entrad todos.
No volveremos a soñar este sueño.
Anclada se desvanece la noche,
se cumple definitivamente en una danza,
donde el cuerpo sin olas resplandece

A Dance (Almost a Poetics)

Come in.
It is soon yet for remembrance.
Gestures and epitaphs await us
among soundless strings.

Come in.
The evening is fenced in
and the mist summoned.
Let's tune our instruments,
heal that wound
fossilized in our portraits.

Come in all.
We won't dream this dream again.
Anchored, night fades away,
fulfills itself definitively in a dance
where the body without waves shines
in the first last tomorrow.

Teresa García Galán vive en Málaga, España. Es la autora de Cuando baje la marea (Málaga, 1992) y Redes imprevistas (Madrid, 1993). Sus poemas también han sido publicados en varias antologías. Como crítica literaria, García Galán publicó Esteticismo como rebeldía (Sevilla, 2003), un estudio sobre el poeta Pablo García Baena. Su próximo poemario, tentativamente titulado Encierro mediterráneo, se publicará durante 2005.
Teresa García Galán lives in Málaga, Spain. She is the author of Cuando baje la marea (Málaga, 1992) and Redes imprevistas (Madrid, 1993). Her work has also appeared in various anthologies. As a literary critic she is the author of Esteticismo como rebeldía (Sevilla, 2003), a study of the work of poet Pablo García Baena. Her next book of poetry, tentatively entitled Encierro mediterráneo, is scheduled to be published in 2005.
