Revolted by the thought of known places . . . 1992/2003, based on the medieval Irish epic Sweeney Astray in a version by Seamus Heaney, was conceived in 1992 as a video installation in the contemporary art institution Kunst-Werke, Berlin, while Jonas was on D.A.A.D. fellowship. In 1994 it was reworked as an installation for the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and then adapted as a theatre piece for the Westergasfabriek, Amsterdam. Collection Stedelijk Museum Amster-dam.
