In the fall 2003 issue, we re-launched our section, "In the Classroom," dormant since a dialogue on the National History Standards (remember them?) in the fall issue of 1997. Here we offer a lively exchange about the teaching of women's history. Susan Freeman, former managing editor and advocate of more attention in the Journal to teaching, facilitated an e-mail conversation among faculty at different stages of their careers working in a range of fields of women's history in different institutions in various parts of the country.
