Moustafa Bayoumi is an assistant professor of English, and teaches literature at Brooklyn College, City University of New York. He is co-editor of The Edward Said Reader (2000), and has published essays on literature, art, cinema, politics, architecture, and music. Most recently, his work has appeared in Transition and the Yale Journal of Criticism.

Madhav Chari is a freelance jazz pianist from Calcutta, India based in the New York City region. In addition to performing mainstream jazz, he leads his own quartet utilizing a wide range of influences, including Indian Classical and Afro-Cuban music.
