This book has now been revised to incorporate the phenomenal expansion of qualitative inquiry since then. In the second edition, the authors bring the art of qualitative analysis up to date, adding a wide range of new techniques techniques, ideas and references. The book aims to share the current state of the craft in the design, testing, and use of qualitative data analysis methods. Strong emphasis is places on data displays-matrices and networks-that go beyond ordinary narrative text. The growth of computer use in qualitative data analysis is reflected throughout the volume, which also includes an extensive appendix on criteria useful for choosing among the currently available analysis packages.
