Map Room: Mecca: A Spiritual Journey

The hajj, the journey to Mecca required at least once of every Muslim who is able, has been performed for the past 14 centuries. In 1950, fewer than 100,000 people completed the journey. Last year, 2.8 million did. World Policy Journal takes a modern-day pilgrimage to Mecca.
