Aisling Byrne is Fitzjames Research Fellow in Old and Middle English at Merton College, Oxford. Her published work includes papers on medieval romance and on the transmission of texts between late medieval Britain and Ireland.

  

Ashley Marshall is assistant professor of English at the University of Nevada, Reno. She is the author of The Practice of Satire in England, 1658-1770 (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2013), and is currently at work on a book entitled Jonathan Swift and History: Politics and the English Past.

  

Barrrett L. Beer is professor of history emeritus at Kent State University. His recent publications include Rebellion and Riot: Popular Disorder in England during the Reign of Edward VI (2nd edn, 2005), Tudor England Observed: The World of John Stow (1998) and an edition of John Stow's A Summarie of the Chronicles of England Diligently Collected, Abridged . . . unto . . . 1604 (2007).

  

Vaughan Hart is Professor of Architecture at the University of Bath, and Director of the Centre for Advanced Studies in Architecture (CASA). His books include a modern English translation of Andrea Palladio's guide, entitled Palladio's Rome, published by Yale University Press in 2006.
