Scalar Meets TDR
In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

In this issue, with “Hearing the Music of the Hemispheres” by Erin B. Mee, TDR launches Scalar articles within and beyond its pages. Developed at the University of Southern California, Scalar is a free, open-access platform for building born-digital, media-rich, multimodal scholarly articles. These articles include nested, recursive, and nonlinear formats. For examples of Scalar projects go to: http://scalar.usc.edu/scalar/showcase. For seven interactive essays on nonlinear storytelling go to: http://scalar.usc.edu/updates. TDR will continue to publish Scalar articles, which will be vetted by Mee, now a TDR Contributing Editor. For more information—and to submit proposals—contact Mee at erinmee1@gmail.com
