Barbarians at the Gate: Professors from Outside the English Department Reflect on Teaching First-Year Writing: Introduction

The Roanoke College Writing Initiative Grant (WIG) program provides a two-thousand-dollar stipend for non-English Department faculty to teach in the first-year writing program. Faculty is expected to teach three iterations of their proposed course and receive a year of training prior to entering the classroom.
