Editor’s Introduction
In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

The current volume, “The Queerness of Hip Hop/The Hip Hop of Queerness,” represents a dynamic engagement between queer studies, gender and sexuality studies, and Afro-diasporic studies. Interdisciplinary and theoretically rich, spanning “high” and “low” culture, seamlessly integrating the campy, popular, and deeply intellectual, the forum and the essays in this special issue are fraught with productive tensions and points of connection.
