The essays in this first issue of the second volume ofPalimpsest gel around the topic of sex and sexuality across the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in literature, history, film, photography, poetry, and popular culture. This issue also includes excerpted fiction and photography in an essay/conversation format between novelist Alice Randall and photographer/poet Rachel Eliza Griffiths, and concludes with the poetry of rising new talent, Caroline Randall Williams.
