La corónica International Book Award
In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

The La corónica International Book Award is an annual prize for the best monograph published on the subjects of medieval Hispanic languages, literatures and cultures. The award is announced each May at the International Congress of Medieval Studies held at Western Michigan University, and a special session is convoked during the following year’s Congress to honor the recipient and advance the themes of his or her research, with the honoree serving as principal respondent. A cash prize, an engraved pewter canister and a certificate accompany the Award.

Anthologies of studies by multiple authors, collections of previously published articles, teaching tools, popularizations of medievel life, databases, noncritical editions and creative works of fiction or verse are not eligible for this award. Submissions of entries can be made by authors, their publishers, their academic institutions or their colleagues by sending three copies of the book to the Book Review Editor of La corónica by October 1 of each year for a book bearing an imprint from the previous year (e.g., submissions by October 1, 2013, for books published in 2012). Please include contact information for the party making the nomination and for the author of the book submitted.
