The purpose of this study was to explore how 31 first- and second-year university students perceive plagiarism. The findings demonstrate deficits in how these students understand plagiarism, as well as highlight perceived differences between themselves and their professors. Concepts explored include conflicts in power, ownership of ideas, and student agency.
