Dr. Elijah J. Schochet retired after thirty-nine years as rabbi of the Shomrei Torah Synagogue in West Hills, CA. He is the author of seven books on rabbinic studies, and currently serves as Professor of Talmud at the Academy for Jewish Religion in Los Angeles.

Neil Kurshan is the rabbi of the Huntington Jewish Center and is a graduate of Lev Shomea, a pioneering program in Jewish spiritual direction.

Julia Watts Belser is Assistant Professor of Judaism at Missouri State University. She received her rabbinic ordination from the Academy for Jewish Religion in Los Angeles and earned her Ph.D. in Jewish Studies at the University of California at Berkeley and the Graduate Theological Union.

Lawrence Raful is the former Dean of, and now serves as Professor of Law at, the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center on Long Island, where he teaches and lectures about legal ethics.

Robert Scherr is the Jewish chaplain at Williams College in Williamstown, MA, and the Hazzan Emeritus of Temple Israel of Natick in Natick, MA.
