Mark Twain’s Homes and Literary Tourism by Hilary Iris Lowe (review)
In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

Mark Twain’s Homes and Literary Tourism. By Hilary Iris Lowe. Columbia: Univ. of Missouri Press, 2012. 246 pp. Hardcover, $40.00. Lowe offers a well-researched, heavily detailed look into the four literary tourism sites associated with Mark Twain, from his alleged place of birth near Florida, Missiouri, his early home in Hannibal, his Hartford house, and Quarry Farm, and she provides detailed histories of each site. She also considers the disparate methods applied at each literary site to attract visitors. An interesting study worth reading for anyone interested in Twain or literary tourism. (JN)
