José Lerma
José Lerma was born in Seville, Spain. After studying law and political science, he switched to art, earning MA and MFA degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and attended residency programs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Maine. His work has been shown in solo exhibitions at Art Basel Miami Beach; Southfirst Gallery, Brooklyn, New York; Andrea Rosen Gallery, New York; Arario Gallery, Seoul, Korea; Galerie Loock/Wohnmaschine, Berlin; and Galeria Marta Cervera, Madrid. He lives in Brooklyn and Chicago.
