The July 2014 issue marks a notable change in the position of book review editor at the Southwestern Historical Quarterly. Jesús F. de la Teja, Supple Professor of Southwestern Studies and Director of the Center for the Study of the Southwest at Texas State University, is succeeded by Richard B. McCaslin, Professor and Chair, Department of History, University of North Texas. Frank very ably presided over the book review section for seventeen years and oversaw the publication of literally thousands of professional critiques. Fortunately, his service to the Quarterly as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board will continue.
