Southeastern Geographer Vol. XXXI, No. 2, November 1991, p. 109 A FINAL NOTE This issue marks the end of my four-year tenure as editor of the Southeastern Geographer. I deeply appreciate the support given me by all the officers ofthe Southeastern Division, and I especially thank Treasurers Jess McKee and Betsy Pyle, whose expertise and efficiency in regard to fiscal matters made my life much easier. Among the many things I learned over the past four years is that a journal is the product not of the editor but ofthe authors and reviewers; it is their commitment and professionalism that make ajournai a success.
