Sign Language Studies 17 BIBLIOGRAPHICAL NOTE With this issue, which includes the index to issues 10 through 17 (pages 369-377), SIGN LANGUAGE STUDIES completes its sixth year of publication. Because of its origin as a semiannual late in 1972 and the serial numbering of each issue, volume numbers are not used. Since SLS became a quarterly, however, the number of the year and the pagination throughout a year's issues do provide an indication of volume.
