Lenard D. Moore is the author of A Temple Looming (WordTech Editions) and other books. He has received fellowships from Cave Canem and Soul Mountain Retreat, and is a recipient of the Margaret Walker Creative Writing Award. He is the founder and executive director of the Carolina African American Writers' Collective. His poems, essays, reviews, and fiction have appeared in more than four hundred publications, including AGNI, Callaloo, Colorado Review, and North Dakota Quarterly. His poetry has appeared in more than fifty anthologies, including The Bedford Introduction to Literature (Bedford/St. Martin's). He teaches at Mount Olive College.
