All daylight flintsthe pavement: a matchthat strikes the thoughtof the night's walkto you again and againin my mind: eachimagined walk one lamp litalong a streetfrom atop invisible stilts.I do not hesitate tonavigate in such indelibles.But if in recollectionthere can be no new gestureI stand stillas a street under snowfall.The streetlamps strain through.Here I am, still on my way.
