From the Editor Parergon ns 10.1, for June 1992, was produced in somewhat irregular circumstances. A s a result it contained a number of errors, and I would like to apologize here to those whose contributions were affected. One article was actually printed from the incorrect file: 'Gaye Thiel's Chaucer's Friar and Saint Hubert: what's in a name?' A reprint of this is being sent out with the present volume, and subscribers are invited to substitute it for pp. 95-101 in their copies of ns 10.1.
