Just as a stage production manifests itself, so that as soon as the collaboration begins one has to let go of all preconceived notions, so it was at Santorini: impossible to continue as a single individual on a singular journey, now part of a collective, banded together from completely opposite points of view, different cultural backgrounds, different generations, different “voices,” be it native tongue, foreign tongue, or no tongue at all. We were open, ready, and willing to wholeheartedly support an unknown. What remained constant was the need and will to participate, to involve one’s self in the process. I have never seen that level of collective concentration in a Linklater class. [End Page 120]

KK Moggie

KK Moggie is a 2007 graduate of Columbia University’s School of Arts, acting program. Her experience with the Linklater system started in New Zealand and was the core factor in leading her to the graduate acting program, which Kristin Linklater heads. KK’s credits include working with notable theater companies Classic Stage Company, MCC Theater Company, and Atlantic Theater Company. She recently finished working on the NBC network television show Mercy.
