Given the momentous importance of the Zionist movement and the creation of the State of Israel, it is appropriate that Modern Judaism acknowledge the 100th anniversary of the former and the 50th anniversary of the latter in a special way. This special issue attempts, in some small way, to make good on this voluntary obligation.
