The Contributors AUGUSTA WALKER: is the author of three novels: Around A Rusty God, The Eating Valley, A Midwest Story (Dial Press). She has had stories and articles in Partisan Review, Yale Review, and Antioch Review. Between books, Miss Walker teaches college English. ROBERT B. HEILMAN: is Professor of English at the University of Washington. He is the author of several books on drama, including one on Lear and one on Othello. Professor Heilman is currently at work on a book-length study of tragedy and melodrama. CHARLES A. CARPENTER: Assistant Professor of English at the University of Delaware. His articles and bibliographies on Shaw have appeared in the Shaw Review, Modern Drama, and elsewhere. He has completed a book on Shaw's,early plays. KIMBALL KING: Professor King is a member of the English Department at the, Vniversity of North .Carolina, Chapel Hill, N.C., where he teaches courses in modem drama and nineteenth century southern writers.
