Pages 49 and 50 Hughes 45 Garlic Hot June night, stormless, lightningless, sleepless spot— somewhere somebody's cooking garlic. Tangy summer night simmering up nose now, no air conditioner, fan, no bra, underwear, momentum. I remember remembering writing with a pencil and delicious thoughts crowding all around.
