Overton 15 Ron Overton The Go For It Lounge On the way to the airport to meet the Eastern Express in the Honda Civic I pass the Go For It Lounge. I know where that comes from. I read about it in my students' journals where all the boys talk about football and all the girls talk about boys and they are all going to be brain surgeons. The Go For It Lounge must be the place where you go to make the decision about whether to become a famous brain surgeon, a widely popular President, or a great black power-forward. The Eastern Express circled around like us all for a while in the fog, then was diverted to Kennedy. "The airline is not responsible," the ground stewardess screamed three times, "for an Act of God. Your friends and loved ones are on their own." They'll have to go for it. In the spirit of friendship, I drive to Kennedy, but another Act of God diverts the fog and the Eastern Express will land as originally imagined.
