Tom L. Beauchamp, Ph.D., is Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy and Senior Research Scholar at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics, Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. His research concentrates on a range of topics in bioethics, animal ethics, ethical theory, and the philosophy of David Hume.

Hope R. Ferdowsian, M.D., M.P.H., is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at The George Washington University and a Fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine. Her clinical and research interests focus on vulnerability in both humans and nonhuman animals. She is board certified in internal medicine and preventive medicine and public health.

John P. Gluck, Ph.D., is Emeritus Professor of Psychology at the University of New Mexico and Senior Advisor to the President on animal research ethics. He is also Adjunct Research Professor at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics, Georgetown University.

Audrey R. Chapman, Ph.D., is Healey Professor of Medical Ethics and Humanities at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.

Courtney C. Scala, J.D., M.A., is a former Managing Editor of the Connecticut Law Review (Volume 42). She graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2010, and is currently a Presidential Management Fellow with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Her current research focuses on a range of ethical issues related to genetics, stem cells, health equity, and health and human rights.
