Congratulations to Cheryl D. Hicks, whose article “‘Bright and Good Looking Colored Girl’: Black Women’s Sexuality and ‘Harmful Intimacy’ in Early-Twentieth-Century New York,” published in the September 2009 issue of the Journal of the History of Sexuality (volume 18, number 3), has been awarded the 2009 Letizia Woods Brown Memorial Prize by the Association of Black Women Historians.

Congratulations also to Jennifer N. Brown, whose article “The Chaste Erotics of Marie d’Oignies and Jacques de Vitry,” published in the January 2010 issue of the Journal of the History of Sexuality (volume 19, number 1), has been awarded the 2010 prize for Best Article of Feminist Scholarship on the Middle Ages by the Society for Medieval Feminist Scholarship.
