Introduction: Sephardi Identities

This special issue of Jewish Social Studies presents a number of studies first discussed at a workshop held at Stanford University in the spring of 2007. The introduction briefly engages the question of the ambiguity of Sephardi identities, which is explored from a variety of perspectives by the contributors to this volume.
