Reference Works in Progress

DawgSpeak!: The Slanguage Dictionary of the University of Georgia

pp. 138-155 | DOI: 10.1353/dic.2012.0016

Once more, we are very grateful to have the following accounts of a rich range of reference works currently in preparation. Don McCreary has contributed a fascinating picture of the development of the Dawgspeak! project at the University of Georgia, and George Goebel gives us a first glimpse of the post-publication life of DARE, ‘beyond Zydeco.’ There are reports on the revision of the Dictionary of Canadianisms on Historical Principles, and the creation of a bilingual digital dictionary for Cayuga. Finally, Susan Rennie updates us on progress with Boswell’s rediscovered dictionary.
