Congress on Research in Dance Special Conference: Global Perspectives on Dance Pedagogy Research and Practice: 26–27th June 2009 CEPA

This peer-reviewed conference celebrates the growing interest in the relationship between dance research and dance pedagogy in all its forms. It brings together an international constituency to identify cutting edge research in the area as a basis for future development. A global perspective is especially important in the recognition of the range of discourses.

The conference includes papers, demonstrations and workshops on current approaches to pedagogy. We warmly welcome researchers, scholars, teachers, dancers, writers and all who are interested in dance from around the world. Please join us to discuss and debate global perspectives in the research and practice of dance pedagogy.

Keynote speakers will be announced in the fall, followed by a full programme of presenters.

Leicester is a key historical city. It retains some of its medieval buildings, 14th and 15th century churches and associations with the English monarchy and parliament. Now it is a major European multi-cultural community with a thriving artistic life and a newly developed cultural quarter and excellent communications. London St Pancras International Rail Station is just over an hour away, with easy access to Londons airports and to European cities via Eurostar high-speed train.
