His writing has recently been published in Montana: The Magazine ofWestern History, The Journal ofArizona History, Colorado History , Military History ofthe West, and Civil War History. He lives in the mountains west of Boulder, Colorado, where he is presently writing a biography of John C. Tidball. Charles M. Hubbard, dean of Loncolniana and director of the Abraham Lincoln Museum at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee , edits the Lincoln Herald and has authored articles and books on American diplomatic history. Michael Hughes is a visiting fellow at the University of Southampton, England and a part-time lecturer at the University of Oxford, where he teaches early American history. He is also a fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He is currently researching English public opinion on Lincoln's i860 election victory and consequent secession by the Southern states. ...
