CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS ISSUE William Garrett Piston, associate professor at Southwest Missouri State University, is the author ofLee 's TarnishedLieutenant: James Longstreet and His Place in Southern History (1987). He is currently working on a history of the Battle of Wilson's Creek, co-authored with Richard W. Hatcher, historian at Fort Sumter National Monument. Mark H. Dunkelman of Providence, Rhode Island, has written and lectured extensively on the 154th New York Volunteer Infantry. James Duane Bolin is assistant professor of history at Murray State University. Richard M. McMurry is the author of Two Great Rebel Armies: An Essay in Confederate Military History (1989). ...
