Trefousse, associate professor of history at Brooklyn College, is the biographer of two important Benjamins of the Civil War: Senator Ben Wade and General Ben Butler. He is now working on a full-scale study of the Radical Republicans. Harold B. Hancock is chairman of the social studies division at Otterbein College. He is a former contributor to this journal, and author of a political history of wartime Delaware. His collaborator, Norman B. Wilkinson, is a research associate at the Eleutherian Mills-Hagley Foundation in Greenville, Delaware . Douglas Maynard is an associate professor of history at Hunter College. Alan D. Harper is a member of the history faculty and chairman of the contemporary civilization department at Queens College. He is the author of a forthcoming volume on the United States since 1917. O. L. Davis, Jr., is an associate professor of education at Kent State University. He is presently completing a study of Confederate textbooks. Ross A.
