  • Help!

Villanova University, which has been very generous to us in the past, is no longer able to offer a yearly grant to the Quarterly. This means a loss not only of considerable financial assistance but also, of equal importance, a loss of mailing privileges. We are in dire and immediate need (a) of people to help locate granting agencies and write grant proposals, (b) of people affiliated with universities or other institutions to solicit support from their institutions, in the form of printing and/or mailing facilities, or an outright grant, and (c) failing the immediate appearance of a sponsor, interim help with printing and mailing (e.g. an uncle in the printing business). If a sponsor is not forthcoming, dues will have to be raised drastically to cover our costs, so it is in everyone's best interest to help in the search. A recent request for writers and reviewers produced a heartening response: we must all hope that this much more urgent cry brings an even greater answer.
