In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

  • Editor's Note
  • Natalia Aponiuk

This special themes issue, as the title indicates, examines the discourse on multiculturalism from a number of perspectives, which are discussed in the introduction by Professors Joseph Garcea, Anna Kirova, and Lloyd Wong. The three guest associate editors for this issue brought together the various researchers whose findings are included here. I would like to thank them for their efforts. I would also like to thank all the contributors who are sharing their work with us and the anonymous reviewers whose suggestions and comments are always helpful.

Finally, I would like to thank the following who provided financial assistance in the publication of this issue:

  • • the Citizenship and Multiculturalism Branch, Citizenship and Immigration Canada

  • • the Prairie Metropolis Centre

  • • the Atlantic Metropolis Centre

  • • Carleton University's School of Journalism and Faculty of Public Affairs

Once again, on behalf of Canadian Ethnic Studies and personally, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone involved in this important undertaking. [End Page v]
