Editor's Note

With this rst issue of 2002, we welcome new board members and say good-bye to those who have completed their three-year term. Leaving the Bulletin's Advisory Editorial Board are Jacalyn Dufn, Christopher Lawrence, Harry M. Marks, and Steven J. Peitzman. To them the editors send thanks for advice and help of many kinds. We also welcome the four new members of the board: K. Codell Carter, Marcos Cueto, Michael Kater, and Renate Wilson. We're looking forward to working with them, along with the returning board members, during the coming year.

From time to time, the editors receive queries about articles published in the Bulletin in years past. For answers, we turn to the cumulative index to the Bulletin, but this book covers only the years 1933 through 1982--and copies are scarce. We're therefore delighted to announce that our publisher has put this cumulative index online, as a section of the Bulletin's website (http://muse.jhu.edu/journals/bhm). Also available online is a second, updated index, spanning 1983 to the present. We owe the entire idea to Carol Clausen, who offered not only to prepare the more recent index for online publication, but also to update it every year. Carol and Manfred Waserman were the compilers of the original index, and Carol has continued to produce the yearly index that appears in the Winter issue of each volume of the Bulletin.

All members of the AAHM--and all readers of the Bulletin--are in her debt.
