Request for Manuscripts: Future SHAW Volumes

The SHAW editorial board seeks article-length manuscripts for coming volumes. SHAW 27 will be a general volume open to articles on any subject related to the life, times, and works of Bernard Shaw. SHAW 28 will be a theme issue devoted to "Shaw and War," with Lagretta Lenker as guest editor. Contributors to this volume should submit manuscripts early in 2007 to Lagretta Lenker, llenker@admin.usf.edu.

SHAW submissions may be sent as email attachments (in WORD or RichText Format) or in hardcopy (3 copies with, if possible, an additional copy on disk). Please indicate the format and program used on the disk copy and include postage for return of materials. Please refer to recent SHAW volumes for the MLA style used.

Dietrich of the University of South Florida, the Shaw Series seeks book-length manuscripts on any subject relating to the life, career, and times of G. Bernard Shaw. The work of younger scholars or scholars with new critical paradigms will be especially welcome. 44th Annual Shaw Festival 2006 SeasonNiagara-on-the-Lake30 March–19 November

The Shaw Festival will feature two plays by Bernard Shaw: Arms and the Man (March 30 to October 29) and Too True to be Good (May 9 to October 7). The playbill also includes High Society (music and lyrics by Cole Porter, book by Arthur Kopit), The Crucible (Arthur Miller), The Magic Fire (Lillian Groag), Rosmersholm (Henrik Ibsen), Love Among the Russians (Anton Chekhov), The Heiress (Ruth Goetz and Augustus Goetz), The Invisible Man (Michael O'Brien, adapted from the novel by H. G. Wells), Design for Living (Noel Coward).

The Shaw Festival also regularly provides Shaw seminars that feature eminent Shavians and a Shaw Symposium sponsored by the ISS (2006 Symposium was held August 18–20).
