Achievement testing plays an important role in the education of most hearing-impaired students. Unfortunately, commercially published achievement tests are sometimes incorrectly selected and utilized in schools for the deaf. This paper discusses a few of the most prevalent problems involved and offers some general suggestions for school testing programs.
