Abstract

Computer-assisted evaluation (CAE) has been initiated at the California School for the Deaf—Fremont (CSDF). The evaluation component focuses on two major areas—the California Proficiency Skills Test and analysis in the areas of reading and language development. Cataloging of the available lessons has resulted in the development of a computer lesson inventory. The evaluation mode of the Blocks authoring system, the lessons written for the Proficiency Skills Test and language analysis areas, and the computer lesson inventory are described as they exist through CAI at CSDF.
