Abstract
One of the most versatile and easily handled pieces of photographic or video equipment for the classroom is the Super 8 movie camera. It can be used to record familiar activities or to provide visual representation of things less accessible to students. This paper is directed toward teachers, with suggestions for incorporating the Super 8 into various subject areas and teaching students some simple techniques of film-making, including some easily achieved special effects.
