Southeast Asian Affairs

Vol. 2003 through current issue

Southeast Asian Affairs, which has been produced since 1974, is an annual review of significant trends and developments in the region. The emphasis is on ASEAN countries but important developments in the broader Asia-Pacific region are not ignored. The publication seeks to provide readable and easily understood analyses of major political, strategic, economic and social developments within the region.

Southeast Asian Affairs

Submission Guidelines

ISEAS invites submission of manuscripts for publication on subjects within the fields of:

  1. politics and strategic and international studies
  2. economic development, and
  3. social change
    1. in Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific. The Institute does not accept manuscripts that have already been published or are being considered for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts submitted will be assessed by a Manuscript Review Committee with the assistance of external readers.

      Please only send the Table of Contents, an Abstract and your CV. If there is interest, we will then invite you to send a hard copy (printout) of the complete manuscript.

      Please do NOT send manuscripts as e-mails attachments. We only accept printouts, typed single-spaced for the peer review process through our Manuscript Review Committee.
