Reviews of Books on the Great Lakes Crisis

(Editors’ note: Thirteen years after the Rwandan genocide of April 1994, there continues an outpouring of books on that cataclysm and on the subsequent politics of the Great Lakes region in its wake. Given the fundamental importance of the genocide in restructuring African political theory, discourse, and preoccupations, we include a sample of these works as a form of commemoration of those who died in the genocide and its aftermath. Other books on the genocide continue to appear, and will be included in other issues.)
