Women in German Yearbook: Feminist Studies in German Literature & Culture

Guidelines for Contributors

    Notice To Contributors

The Women in German Yearbook is a refereed journal. Its publication is supported by the Coalition of Women in German. Contributions to the Women in German Yearbook are welcome at any time. The editors are interested in feminist approaches to all aspects of German literary, cultural, and language studies, including pedagogy, as well as in topics that involve the study of gender in different contexts: for example, work on colonialism and postcolonial theory, performance and performance theory, film and film theory, or on the contemporary cultural and political scene in German-speaking countries.

While the Yearbook accepts manuscripts for anonymous review in either English or German, binding commitment to publish will be contingent on submission of a final manuscript in English. The editors prefer that manuscripts not exceed 25 pages (typed, double-spaced), including notes. Please prepare manuscripts for anonymous review and follow the sixth edition (2003) of the MLA Handbook (separate notes from works cited). Also use our special manuscript preparation guidelines posted on the WiG website. Send the manuscript as an e-mail attachment in Microsoft Word to each editor:
