Guidelines for ContributorsConradiana, an international journal devoted to and welcoming essays on all aspects and periods of the life and works of Joseph Conrad, is published three times yearly in the spring, summer, and fall. If possible, essays should cite Conrad's works within the text. Wherever possible, the Conrad texts cited should be either a first or a collected edition (Doubleday, Page, or Dent.) The eighth edition of the MLA Style Manual should govern all questions of style and format. Contributors should submit two hard copies and one copy on disk of the manuscript typed double-spaced throughout (including extended quotations and notes) on 8 1/2-by-11-inch paper, with margins of one-half inch on the sides and one and a half inches at the top and bottom, and a selfaddressed, stamped return envelope. Obviously unacceptable essays will be returned within two weeks if SASE is provided. Essays being seriously considered will be kept for three months. Contributors are requested to submit electronic manuscripts with all automatic styles and automatic footnotes switched off.
