The Editor 591 Robert H. Taylor, Visiting Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, earned his Ph.D. in 1974 from Cornell University in Government. He previously gained a BA in Government and History from Ohio University and an MA in the Social Sciences from Antioch College. He has taught government at Wilberforce University in Ohio, the University of Sydney, and the School of Oriental of African Studies, University of London. At the latter institution he was head of the Centre for South East Asian Studies and the Department of Politics and eventually Pro-Director as well as Professor of Politics in the University of London. In 1996 he was appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buckingham, the United Kingdom’s only private university.
