Marcia C. Inhorn is the William K. Lanman Jr. Professor of Anthropology and International Affairs at Yale University. She is the founding editor for the Journal of Middle East Women’s Studies and the former president of the Society for Medical Anthropology. Shirin Karsan is a graduate of the Department of Medical Ethics & Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania.
