Manifesto of the Women Filmmakers (West Germany, 1979)
Abstract

A response to the “Hamburg Declaration of German Filmmakers” (see chap. 2 in this volume), this manifesto foregrounds the fact that, despite the rosy picture painted in the latter manifesto, there was still much to be done in terms of the inclusion and support of women in the West German filmmaking community and to counteract the inherent sexism of the industry.
